In just a moment we will tell you how to execute the Paroli strategy, but before doing so take a look at the following two points that are important to keep in mind when using the system:

This is a requirement for the Paroli strategy to work. You have to bet on an alternative that pays double the stake. - Understand that Paroli is a positive progression system
This means that your stakes will increase when you win as opposed to increasing when you lose. Therefore you have the option of deciding yourself how many times you want your stakes to increase before securing a profit and resetting them.
How to execute Paroli
Paroli is all about doubling your stake whenever you have a winning game round and resetting it whenever a loss occurs or whenever you decide to secure your profits. You start off by choosing a stake that makes sense to your bankroll and placing a bet on an alternative that pays 1:1.
If you win this game round you have to bet whatever you won in the next. This will be double your initial stake. As long as you keep winning you continue betting whatever you won on your next game round. This bet will always be twice as high as the bet that was previously placed. Simply because you win two times your stake every time you win.
Losing is of course inevitable so you can’t go on betting like this forever. You have to secure your profits at some point. This is where the flexibility of the Paroli strategy kicks in as you can decide yourself when to do it. If you want to play it safe you can choose to secure your profits after three wins in a row and if you want to take high risks for high rewards you can go on to six or more.
Whenever you choose to secure your profits you need to reset your stake to what you initially bet and start all over again. This must also be done whenever you encounter a losing game round.
To illustrate the strategy better, let’s have a look at how 15 game rounds of using Paroli plays out when profits are secured after three wins in a row:
As you can see, the stake is reset to £1 whenever a loss occurs and whenever three wins have happened in a row. You can also notice that the majority of game rounds have been lost as only 7 out of the 15 played ones were winning ones.
Despite of this we have, however, reached a positive net profit. As a matter of fact, we wouldn’t even need the last win that occurred on round 15 as already on round 14 we were in profit land. This is a good example of how efficient the Paroli strategy can be in making money even though you lose a lot.
Your game rounds will, however, not always play out like they did in our example above. This leads us to the weak point of Paroli and why the strategy isn’t as good as it may initially appear to be.
The weak point of Paroli
In terms of profits, Paroli can be a very efficient strategy whenever winning and losing game rounds happen in a row. However, when they don’t it’s very difficult or should we say impossible to win. Take a look at this example of 15 game rounds that play out very differently from the ones above:
The pattern that occurs here is a devastating one as we never reach our three wins in a row and therefore we never get to secure any profits. We have won 10 out of 15 game rounds, which anyone would think would be more than enough to reach a net profit, but it isn’t. In this case, when we never get to secure any profits, we’re just digging a deeper and deeper hole of losses.
The good thing though is that this hole could easily be filled if winning rounds started to happen in a row of three and we got to secure some profits. However, if these rounds don’t come it will just get more and more difficult to recover. And so far we’ve only looked at the low-risk use of the strategy.
If you’re choosing to take higher risks by securing your profits at a later stage than three wins in a row, it gets even more difficult to recover as you can imagine. However, if you get lucky with a high risk approach you can make big profits in a short amount of time. Let’s have a look at how big these profits can get and if it’s worth chasing after them.
Using Paroli as a high risk high reward strategy
To illustrate the potential rewards that Paroli can yield, we have created the below table. In this we have showcased 10 wins in a row with an initial stake of £1. You can easily see how the winnings stack up exponentially as well as the risk that you’re taking. The risk is simply the probability that shows you how likely or unlikely it is that so many wins will happen in a row.
Most people who use the Paroli strategy secure profits after three wins as this is what the strategy originally tells its users to do. As you can see in the table above, you actually only get to do this once every 9th game round on average which isn’t that much. So even if you’re playing it safe you are likely to have a lot of losses happening.
However, if you choose to take higher risks it quickly gets much worse. Should you choose an approach where you secure your profits after six wins in a row, this will only happen once in 77 game rounds on average. This is, in other words, very rare. The profits are pretty nice though as you would win 64 times your initial stake.
Is it worth it? Well, that’s completely up to you to decide!

The Paroli strategy has many advantages which is why it is widely used among roulette players. It’s incredibly easy to apply on game rounds and if things go the right way you only need a portion of your game rounds to win to reach a net profit.
However, for things to go the right way, winning and losing game rounds must come in streaks and only lady luck have the power to make this happen. So like any casino game and any strategy used, it all comes down to being lucky.
Unlike some other roulette strategies, being lucky with Paroli could, however, yield huge profits. Much so if you choose to take high risks by not securing profits, hoping to get many winning game rounds in a row.
Regardless of how you choose to use the strategy, you never have to worry about suddenly losing your bankroll. Most of your bets are made up of previous winnings so when you lose a game round it’s really only a loss of one unit (a unit is equal to the amount you initially started to bet).
